Crockpot Garlic Lemon Chicken

1t oregano
1/2t salt
1/2t pepper
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2lbs.) $3.00
2T butter .20
2T olive oil .20
2 cloves minced garlic .10 (I like garlic so I used more! Adjust to your preference)
3/4 cup white wine .50
1 cup chicken broth free from homemade broth in freezer
1/3 cup lemon juice (fresh or bottled) .15
2t lemon zest
1/2T lemon pepper seasoning (I used salt free- adjust seasoning to your taste)

Heat large skillet to medium-high heat. Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and oregano. Add butter and oil to skillet, add chicken and brown 3-5 minutes on each side. Remove chicken to slowcooker. Deglaze pan with 1 cup wine, 1 cup broth, stirring to get all the bits off the pan. Add lemon juice, zest and seasoning and bring to a boil. Pour over chicken in crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours. Can thicken sauce with cornstarch to serve. Serve over angel hair pasta, noodles, or even rice or mashed potatoes.

Would also be good with sliced mushrooms---I didn't have any :(

This clocked in right about $5.00 for us with angel hair pasta and parmesan cheese for the top!
(and I have a ton of chicken leftover to use for another meal!)
